Based in South Australia, Lynka’s creative practice is largely focused on Her - mind, body and identity. Working predominantly with acrylics, she seeks to explore a woman’s relationship with herself, others and ultimately her place in society. Through simplified forms and complex lines, the work examines the transformative and sometimes volatile parallels between the rational and irrational.

Lisa's current practice involves a series of slow, detailed works of roadsides and gardens, the liminal space between private and public, and an exploration of the garden as a trope of domesticity and nurture. I am particularly interested in how we locate ourselves and shape our environment as a form of external autobiography, and the blending that occurs when the garden interfaces with the natural environment.
