Wonderground Wines
The Wonderground wine range epitomises our belief in celebration of place. Sourced from Mirus Vineyard, Ironstone Ridge Vineyard in Marananga and Talc Hill Vineyard in Adelaide Hills, our Wonderground wines are a contemporary exploration of our passion for making wine from exciting parcels of fruit from season to season. A range creatively inspired to produce expressive wines that you can relax and enjoy from the moment they are released.
The Labels
The Wonderground labels are a true expression of place and the celebration of the fundamental artistic nature of this collaboration.
Our families came together to create natural paints and inks, from our surrounds, soaking, boiling, crushing, soils, fruits, stone and metals. With these paints from nature, we played and painted, creating the artwork for our labels.
THE WINES
From Talc Hill Vineyard in Gumeracha, 470m above sea level. Following a gentle whole bunch pressing the juice underwent a long cool fermentation in seasoned French oak barrels using indigenous yeast. The wine was matured for 8 months in the same barrels before bottling. Fine, fresh and textural with plenty of personality, we're smitten.
Grenache, Cinsault and Mataro grapes from our Mirus Vineyard and two neighbours, were hand picked., destemmed and fermented together in a small open topped tank with indigenous yeast. After pressing, maturation took place in two seasoned French oak puncheons for 8 months before bottling. Complex, bright and juicy, this wine wears it's heart on its sleeve.
94/100 Dave Brookes, James Halliday Wine Companion 2026.
Our Barossa Valley Rosé is a blend of Mataro (Mourvedre) from Luke and Renee's Ironstone Ridge vineyard, Cinsault from the Sontag's vineyard, and Grenache from our Mirus vineyard. After a few hours on skins, all three parcels were pressed together to capture the wine's enchanting freshness and fragrance. The result is a wine with a fine savoury complexity that we're proud to call our wine of the season.
Our Mirus vineyard has a great diversity of soil and aspect. We chose the fruit for this wine from a sweeping gully with deep sandy-loam soil which channels cooling air from our ridge into the valley below, delivering fruit with freshness and energy. Gentle winemaking and maturation in 3 older French oak puncheons were used to preserve the bright, juicy raspberry and cherry fruit.

Malbec may seem like an outsider in the Barossa Valley but it has been grown here since the first collections of cuttings arrived in the mid-1800's.
Grown just around the corner on Luke’s, Marananga, Ironstone Ridge vineyard, a chance tasting of the fruit on the vine led to a swift decision and a delicious addition to the Wonderground range.
Traditional winemaking and a short maturation in large, seasoned French Oak barrels to preserve the bright, juicy pomegranate fruit.
Only 520 cases produced.
